Re: EZFLAP at Oshkosh

Thanks. I lobbied directly to the EAA leadership and they responded. My sales pitch (sincere as well as self-serving)was that there seems to be a lot of coverage for stuff that is not relevant to an average airplane owner (mach 3 VTOL artists conceptions), yet one EAA guy's invention that affects 95% of all the Johnson Bar airplanes in the US didn't get covered.

Thanks to several BCP folks that came and said hi, nice to meet ya.

I'm fried from the inside out, time to crash for the nite. Tomorrow back on the road to wealth in aviation battling the teeming masses. Hope to meet another few of youse guys.

Bill,
I'll be by to say hello hopefully on Friday. I hadn't planned on making it this year but since I have to go to Indianapolis to pick up some floats I figured I may as well stop at Oshkosh and see what else I (don't) need. ;)

Re: EZFLAP at Oshkosh

Bill,
You didn't offer the money back guarantee. I heard you give that demo to the guy just ahead of me when I met you last year. A straight forward and very honest offer. Glad you got the air time from EAA, and you don't look any older for the wear, is that the same shirt? :D

Bill has a 30 day guarantee on the web site but I can't imagine someone taking it off once they used it. I really like mine and you don't even notice it's there till you use it. Good job Bill =D>

Re: EZFLAP at Oshkosh

Thanks you guys, means a lot to me. Right now I'm just wore out ready to collapse in the dorm room, completely exhausted, barely able to speak after three 10 hour days of doing product demos and verbal karate overcoming every imaginable "sales objection" and then some.

Any of you neurosurgeons think you want to go into the little airplane STC business just feel free to call and I'll set you straight. Go get a job at McD's flipping burgers instead IMHO!

It's been great to meet a few of you at OSH.

Got to meet Paul Poberezny (at the beer temperature testing laboratory in Vintage Camping) and got to thank him for what he built for the average sport pilot

Alarm set for 7AM - drag raggedy ass out of bed, go out and slay the dragon again...

Re: EZFLAP at Oshkosh

Yeah not fun is right. Today we had a huge downpour for about five minutes, right in the middle of when the afternoon airshow would have been. This humidity here is just too @($*$ much for a California boy! I don't know how you midwest and southern types do it. Sweating like a MoFo drenched thru my shirt while I'm supposed to be looking like a clean cut business type guy. Sheesh.

Got to meet a couple or three more BCP'ers, thanks for stopping by and saying hi. Sold a few products, made some new acquaintances. Good interest in the tailwheel STC,, Karl Storjohann thank you for being so informative and offering to help! Finally got to say thanks and shake hands witht my very first customer from two years ago, a loyal BCP participant BTW.

Also got to meet someone from the 170 club, who remembered watching a blood bath between half of their internet discussion group and a certain brand new STC holder a couple of years ago  I offered a sincere, though limited, apology and I think he accepted it. Now if I can bury the hatchet with a few of the guys here...

Getting sick and mother %@&* tired of really poor quality hot dogs for $4.95 too, now that you mention it! I hope Rod H puts a stop to the one-source concession monopoly. Next year I may be crossing the border with illegal contraband... not heroin coke or weed but decent bologna sandwiches!

I too have done trade shows for my company. 95% work 5% fun. I am not a natural sales man and I don't like it. I like to make the product and keep the factory humming. Don't like selling. Keeps me flying. Rant over.

Oh I think you would just make a fantastic natural salesman for causes such as the North American Free Trade Agreement, and entitlement/benefits enrollment programs for not-yet-documented visitors to our country

Thanks for letting my wife have a try in your 'simulator' - great idea but we are going to save the money for fuel.

I thought I had replied... sorry!

Since I'm offering a 10% discount from the regular price at OSH ($499 - 10% = $449), if you order it before the end of the show I'll extend the Oshkosh airport property line a few thousand miles northwest and call it a trade show discount purchase. Please e-mail me directly to finalize this since they'll throw a rope over a tree branch if I discuss it any further here. BCP member also free shipping. As always, full refund if you're not overjoyed after the first ten seconds. [email protected]

EZ maybe you should have used a Harley for your simulator platform and it would have doubled as a "stimulator". Rather expensive but you might have made another sale 8)

Re: EZFLAP at Oshkosh

I wish my trade show simulators were as stable and vibration free as a Harley!

I'm getting pretty tired of having them get moved around and knocked over and picked up off the floor by everyone who tries them. But they have to fold up into airline luggage and slip under the wire for "excess weight baggage fees".

Now when I become a wealthy man from selling aircraft parts, why then I'll have a piece of an actual airplane fuselage set up, with real seats and seat rails, and a real control yoke, and a real instrument panel, etc. etc.
