Definitely not real.
The F-35's here are a huge pain. They don't fly without a Hornet chase plane, they can cause airfield delays when they do their STOVL operations, and they're the loudest thing here. Louder even than the EA-6Bs. Our house is in the traffic pattern and you can't hear a phone call (from either end) inside the house when they're overhead. And good luck talking to the maintainers on the flightline. We're very used to "pausing" conversations until they're past.
Price of freedom, I guess.
