FAA approved Carabiner? Shackle?

Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?

In my past looking, it’s the sewing that pops up all the roadblocks. Seatbelt companies have too much at risk to help you with your project. Gear repair shops can do commercial-grade bar-tacking, but you won’t come away with a certified label. I assume that’s why Atlee and others provide a metal tri-glide buckle to customize seatbelt ends. Less elegant but more universal.
Good luck,

Thanks DP. I don't need a certified label on the belt. Strange how works. Would just have a local gear repair shop sew on the new ends.

Dogpilot, I value your opinion and appreciate it when you share your experience/knowledge. My installation was inspired by the Atlee Dodge jump seats for Cessnas. That STC uses the same track and single stud fittings I plan to use.

Are these simple lap belts, or shoulder harnesses?
Spruce sells the clip-on fittings, p/n 442868, $30 each

as well as a variety of lap belt sets for $75 and up per seat.

Dunno if they sell them with one bolt-on end and one clip-on end,
but you could buy one of each, then mix-and-match them.

My belts are all 4-point harnesses with rotary buckles.
