Hi all! I work in Bettles Alaska as an A&P for a part 135 operator. Bettles is a off the road remote village that is a perfect jumping off place for adventures via airplane in the Brooks Range! It’s north of the arctic circle and has just about all the amenities one could need. Fuel, camping, cabins, hotel rooms, beer, and tie downs. Ohh and it’s float accessible also!

So now that you have a mental image. Come join us for the Far North Fly-In 2020 on July 25th at PABT. There will be a flour drop, bbq, and lots of gravel bars to hop. Details can be had on my Facebook event and I can answer questions here as well as over email and phone/text.

Shoot. We are going to be at Airventure this year and will miss the Fly in. One memorable event was the Bettles Bush Bash a few years back. That was an Arctic rager.

That might be a little late. The monsoon starts sometime between the 15th and 20th of July most years. Of course, that puts out the fires and clears out the smoke.....

I think 800gallons might be a tad... uhhh excessive. But I would gather your aim is better than most! Last year we did 1# in a paper bag. And 200ft agl. Standard pattern. Xwind on the second day made for interesting drops.
