As a trouble free past Soob owner, 1300 hrs TT, I feel the need to stick up for it: I'll hazard a guess it was a fuel system, reduction system, or maybe electrical based problem. Like most or at least a lot of auto conversions, any problems are often in the details, not the core power plant. Mine (Stratus conversion) ran perfect from day one. Too heavy was the only downer (pun intended) to it.
What I want to know is what is an Avid V?
BTW, I see that Avid designer Dean Wilson was recently inducted into the Idaho aviation Hall of Fame. No word yet as to whether or not any such honor is being considered for Dan Denny

That's an inside joke.... Kind of like if Randy S. of RANS was similarly honored, would the Savage Cub guy be next?
