Finally - 8.5x6 on C170/C180/C185

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Does anyone in the PNW have contact information for North Sound? Google overloaded me with "sound" related websites. No joy. I need to see what they are charging for their STC. I need to buy one and the Scotsman is coming out in me.

Thanks, Rich

FYI, not specifically to your question but the "revised" Kenmore 8.50 does include the 3 bolt, 6 bolt clevelands as well as the mccauleys. I bought mine in July of 2015. I'd had it before on my old 55 model 180 in 2005 and it implied that it was a Cleveland only deal. The revision was intended to correct that I believe. I paid $150 for mine.

I've got similar consternation to Hotrod's on the specificity of these deals. The Desser tire, the letter, and the Kenmore STC. Much more limiting than I think most people realize.

I'd love to put the 8.50 dressers on mine but the load rating is light for a loaded 185.

I talked to Fred in parts at Kenmore on Friday. He quoted $300. I guess they feel they can demand whatever they want.
