I have the Microair M760. I had the same problem only when there was an old set of DC's plugged in the back....we thought. So we switched up the back headset. Same problem. So I fooled around with it and found a feature called VOX. VOX is the Voice activated switch in the intercom. (i dont know why it is not called VAS) but, anyway......
This controls the sensitivity of what the mic pics up. Mine was turned down really low, so I turned it up (I think the range is 0-30, and mine was on 5 when I started and like 20 when finished). That fixed it, but I had to play with the settings while speaking into the mic. I basically just turned it up so high that I couldn't hear myself in the headset and then worked my way down until I had it picking up only when I deliberately talked. So it wasn't picking up anything else like me chewing gum or breathing hard from a shitty landing.
Basically the VOX was picking up ambient noise from the back headset but not mine in the front seat. Another thing, it didn't do it on the ground, only while flying.
