Hi - I'm pretty new to this forum.
I was wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge of relevant seaplane regulations, particularly in Florida. It is sad to think that have to assuume if it's not specifically allowed, it is Verboten, but that seems to be the case with everything these days. For example, is it permissible to land near a public beach and taxi up to it. stay a while and take off again? Simple question, but can I find an answer anywhere? Nope. Do these regs. vary with location? I am specifically looking at the southern Gulf coast area.

Go to the Seaplane Pilots Association website. Join the outfit, and you'll have access to their online seaplane directory, which will give you at least some of that information.
