Floatplane docking Northeastern PA? Looking for Advice

Hi All-

We have a cabin on a lake in Northern Ontario and family 3 hours flight away in Northeastern PA. I've been looking for a spot near the Pocono Mountains that would allow seaplane ops and provide safe docking from time to time. Lake Wallenpaupack is not far but the permit is prohibitive, its crazy busy and there's no dock space that I know of. Greenwood Lake on the New York/New Jersey border might be the best option. Any other ideas? I have a skywagon and gas should not be a problem, though I'd be interested in any ideas for avgas enroute between Ontario and Northeastern PA as well.

Thanks!

Sportsman’s Moosehead Marina is on the west shore of Greenwood Lake, the prior owner kept his straight float 172 docked there for many years. It might be worth a call to the new owners to see if they could accommodate you. https://www.sportsmansnj.com/
FYI Seaplanes are only permitted to take off and land on the NY end (North end) of the lake, you may taxi to and throughout the NJ end (south end). I’ve attached some google earth images including a dropped pin where the C172 was docked. I also highly recommend avoiding Greenwood Lake on the weekends, lots of boat traffic and if you squeeze in you will become a boat magnet. I keep my Maule M6 at N72 and a Husky Amphib at KMGJ not too far away.
