FLY IN AT WRAY IS DEFINATELY ON!!!! OCT 20-22

Things are coming together well for our first, possibly annual fly-in at Wray 2V5..

Here is an update on activities..

Pumkin drop
spot landing contest (and other possible contests.)
fly out breakfast Sat morning.
I found some helium for a balloon break.
Red Line Aviation will be on hand to balance props if any one is interested.
The Highlight will be a prime rib dinner on Sat evening. Remember this is beef country. Better than any resturant steak!! RSVP for dinner so we know how much to cook.
We are still working on trying to show a movie AH-LA Mountain Matt's fly-in last year.
Breakfast Sunday Morning.
If it is cold we will have some heated hangers avialable.
Above all we want to give a chance at a relaxing aviation related weekend get a way to live and talk aviation. The schedule will be flexible and easy.

Glad to hear it hicountry. Maybe I can catch a ride. I have been hearing from you and ED how great the new American Champions are. Bring ED with you if you can.

What do you think about marking off the runway with chalk so we can practice take off and landings and know immeadiately how much distance it takes.

Please let me know if there is any kind of Schedule. The WNCC Aviation School is having their breakfast on the morning of the 20th of Oct so I may be doing that prior to heading to Wray.

There is a schedule (kind of) on the old thread. But I think it will be small enough that we can be pretty flexible.

Bring your own Tiedowns, and chairs. Also Byob if you want it.

Ok, Here is the very loose schedule.

Friday: Come when ever you want. I will probably be there by mid afternoon. Supper is on you. There are courtesy cars and locals for a ride into town if you don't want to cook anything. There will be a couple grills and a fire pit. (We will have to be very careful). Then, sit around and talk planes.

Saturday: Breakfast will be a flight to Goodland. There is some good scenery between Wray and Goodland. Spot landing contest in the morning. Lunch will be hamburgers and hotdogs with fixings. Pumpkin drop in the afternoon/evening. Supper will be prime rib. Movie shown hanger style.

Sunday: We will have breakfast available. Pretty relaxed day. Stay as long as you want.

Golf course, rifle/pistol range, and trap range are all very close to the airport.

Oh yeah, 100LL is $5.20/gallon at Wray.

Flew to Wray this afternoon..gt-401 and others are getting things ready. Sounds like all are going to fly to SNY for the WNCC breakfast in the morning and then head back to Wray for lunch and supper with videos to follow. Beautiful wx this evening and suppose to be tomorrow with temps into the 80's.
Get off your dead butts folks and come to Wray tomorrow..if we are not back from SNY when you get there, just wait a bit, we will be back.

Re: FLY IN AT WRAY IS DEFINATELY ON!!!! OCT 20-22

The plan for breakfast in the morning is to fly out to Sidney NE, leaving wray at 7:00, arriving at approx 7:40, and heading back to wray by 9:00.

Everyone is welcome to meet us in Sidney and caravan back to wray. It looks like we will have six or seven planes going to SNY. :!:
