Loved that rudder turn on short final to keep from putting the wing into the ground.

Flying B is a great strip. Under relatively new ownership or management I believe. I used to base out of there for flying and fishing. I think a club might own it now? How about it my Idaho friends, what is it’s current status?

I flew my wife and son in there last summer. It is indeed owned by a club, but they allow non-club visitors to stay there too.
We planned to spent two nights there and do some horseback riding and relaxing. But a few hours after we got there my son tripped while walking along a trail and fractured his arm. We wrapped it in a splint for the rest of the night and flew him to Boise the next morning for an x-ray. He recovered just fine!
Justin, Cindy, and the rest of the folks there too great care of us while we were visiting. The food and accommodations were great and I would gladly go back.

They operate Flying B and Root Ranch. I flew into the B this summer for breakfast. They appreciate it if you let them know before hand but it isn’t absolutely necessary. When they hear you land someone will drive down to the strip and give you a ride.
They have a store front where you can buy shirts, hats, etc.
