Flying Around Cody, Wyoming

Just last week I finally updated my BFR and check ride in Choice Aviations Cessna 172’s and flew over 4 hours on my own this last weekend around the Cody area. I took full advantage of the crystal clear skies and CALM winds and flew around the mountains just west and southwest of Cody and had an absolutely fantastic experience!

Here’s a few pictures I’d like to share.

Wow! Calm winds in Wyoming? Amazing! I bet that was a nice flight. Nice pictures.

Beautiful!!!! Have overnighted several times at Spirit Aviation over 20 yrs ago. Would head west over Yellowstone and on to McCall. A very pretty route for sure.

Yes! The weather has been great this last couple of weeks.

I’ll try to keep more active here now that I’m flying again. LOL

Yeah, I can’t wait for the snow to disappear so I can enjoy flights over Yellowstone.

It’s a great town. Just not a lot of close fun places to fly to. Mostly sightseeing when the weather is good.
