flying or crashed?

I was looking at this ad on Craigslist for a cabin on the Yentna River,
http://anchorage.craigslist.org/reo/1455694561.html
then I decided to find it on Google Earth. Just east of where the cabin should be, I noticed an airplane in a wooded area. The resolution isn't that great, and I can't tell if it's in flight or sitting in the trees. The coordinates of the plane are
61.9294, -151.0049

Is it flying or is it on the ground?

You can find planes flying all the time on Google Earth. I used to try to find them all the time when I was bored. It's like trying to find Waldo.

Re: flying or crashed?

Finding airplanes in flight is easy. Just look at approach and departure lanes.

Finding crashed airplanes is a challenge.

Finding airplanes on the bottom of the ocean is a true cure for boredom!

Naw, it's parked in front of a hot spring. Coyote Ugly is down there with his missus making a new video.

Would this be it? The 1985 date a doesn't seem realistic to the likely newer google photo. The 25 yds from shore seems right though.

Re: flying or crashed?

Last I looked, it appeared that one of our Tomahawks was in the pattern, and what looked like a 737 was
flying over the river.
