FR: Fly-In Cabin Rental in Lake Clark National Park (Alaska)

https://vimeo.com/387236967

Our remote Alaska cabin, situated inside Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, is again available for vacation rentals this summer. Relax and enjoy the lakefront views, fish for trophy lake trout, pike and grayling just offshore, or use it as a home base for fly-out adventures.

Image

Located 180 miles west of Anchorage, our cabin is only accessible by air, on floats in a protected bay or wheels to a 3,000-foot gravel strip. Scheduled commercial flights are available from Anchorage. Despite its remote location, the cabin is more like a home away from home with power, running water, a fully stocked kitchen and internet.

With two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, one bath and a queen size sleeper sofa, the cabin will very comfortably sleep four with a maximum of six. Most household amenities like kitchenware and linens are stocked.

Contact me for additional information and available dates. $315 per night, $1,985 per week.

Do you anticipate this being available in future years? I’d jump at it this year, but my kid just had a pretty traumatic injury to both hands that will slow us down this summer. Love that area, though! As for wheel access, I assume it’s a beach landing?

Wow, nice place. Love that area and the fishing is really great. Fished grayling there last year and got tired from catching.

Keyes Point?

Thanks for the nice remarks! It really is spectacular out there.

Yep, Squash has been there.

For airplane access, really shouldn’t be a problem for any plane, big or small tires and even those pesky nose wheels. No beach landings required, there is a maintained strip that a DC-6 flew the building materials in to and a PC12 has frequented. The lake is 45 miles long, for those on floats...

I will likely have some dates in future years, but nothing is set in stone until about May. If you want to nail it down earlier than that, let me know and I’ll work with you.

Obligatory teaser pic:

You need to stretch your arms out a wee bit more. That fish just isn’t quite large enough yet.

Super nice digs you got yourself there Kyle =D>

Funny, I saw your 185 at Keyes Point a couple weeks ago and thought I recognized it from BCP posts. I fly for LCA over in Port Alsworth, deliver stuff to KPT a lot. Maybe we've even met...

Just spotted the proprietor on an AK airlines flight. Of course I was walking past him on my way to the coach section of the plane. It got me excited for some Lake Clark adventuring this summer.

I just returned from a 3 day trip out to the cabin. WOW! What an absolute treat. The place is spotless and new. (Bring your house slippers to walk on the pristine hardwood floors). Every creature comfort is available. We woke each morning to a different view once opening the much needed black out shades on the windows. I'm not too much of a boat fisherman so I took my 8 weight rod and waded off shore to try and catch some close-in lake trout, but ended up finding graying, so I switched over to my 5 weight and had a blast catching fish after fish, and not one of them was less than 16". If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a completely furnished remote cabin, I recommend this rental.
