Franks on the Fraser 2016
Get together with other pilots or enthusiasts. Plan it or get info about it here.
This is an open invitation to join us on the Fraser River gravel bars for the 5th annual Franks on the Fraser wiener roast. The date is Saturday Jan.2 about noonish. We will try and have the bonfire/windsock going way before then. Bring your own food to burn and as always landing is totally at PILOTS DISCRETION. Attached is a map showing the preferred #1 location but it may have to be moved if the snow is too deep. Look for us we will be there on the river somewhere.
Have fun be safe.

No snow, dropped by there today. Gusty outflow wind but it should die down by Saturday.

Weather should be perfect. 5*C sunny with cloudy periods so no excessive amounts of sun screen should be required. The gravel bar is in perfect condition with about 3500' usable. Some of us are going out tomorrow to gather up some logs to make a BIG fire. The 172 makes a good logging truck when I take the passenger door off and the seat out. We can load her up and taxi over to the camp fire area. The getting ready is just as much fun as the wiener burning.

If every thing works out there should be 3 Bearhawks attending. Always room for more. We usually have a warm weather get together mid summer as well.
