This 1980 Soloy Mk1 was a 400k airplane till it ran out of fuel and flipped over. The full report on it can be read here; http://www.aaiu.ie/node/278 Once you've read this you'll know this no five-minute repair. The good points are;
-Seaplane Door
-Seaplane Kit
-S-Tec55x Fitted
-Luxury Interior
-HD Landing Gear
The Soloy conversion in 1985 was about 4-5x the value of a U206. This aircraft was exported from GA to Ireland about 2008. It previously held the registration N566N prior to it's ferry across the Atlantic. The aircraft needs sheet metal on the roof, the aft fuse and wings. Alot of it is really good, alot needs work. I can take lots more pictures when I get it back to my own hangar this week. The bad points are;
- Needs a C20S engine and Prop
- Needs Flight Instruments and Avionics (Stec 55 and Shadin FF computer remain)
- Needs wing tips
- Needs sheet metal
The seaplane door/gearbox/cowlings are worth the asking price on their own. You could part it out for alot more, I want $34,500 dollars for it. I know what parts prices are, and this will be either a good project or a good donor for someone. Best thing to do is send me a whatsapp message to 00353872218706 and we can chat freely there. I can crate this bad boy up no problem, and ship it anywhere in the world!
