When we bought our 180 last year a friend of a friend mentioned it is good to have a spare tailwheel assembly when on a trip as a just in case. Put a new tire on the original tailwheel and decided it was going to be the "spare". I bought a 10" tailwheel assembly from Airframes Alaska (ABI-3245-1) last April. Also ordered a new fork axle and the associated hardware to go with. Installed and flew approx 25 hours. Probably 20 landings on pavement, the rest on grass. We sold the 180 earlier this year so I removed it and reinstalled the original. Bought a Husky A-1B and have no use for it now. My wife made a black canvas travel bag with a handle that I stored it in that also goes with.
Paid 585.00 Asking 450 plus shipping.
Trying to figure out how to post pics here.
