As a guy who should be looking at the wisdom of buying green bananas, I should have enough oil for my use in the foreseeable future.

The discontinuation of Exxon Elite is what prompted me to grab the last of the cases at a local Mobil distributor.

I don't fly daily and in the Pacific NW winter sometimes maybe only monthly; therefore, Exxon Elite boosted w/ extra camguard seemed like the wisest choice in oils

I started using Exxon Elite oil in my airplane many years ago, when I was at Sun N Fun. Walked past their booth, and they had a sign: "Free shipping for Elite by the case" and the price was really, really good.

So, I sauntered up to the counter and said I'd like four cases, please, and I want them shipped to Fairbanks, AK. At the time, the only shipping to FAI was via FedEx second day air....bring a big wallet. I fully expected them to say: "Piss off, Dude".

But, the guy said "Wait a minute", and went in the back of the booth, cell phone in hand. Came back out a couple minutes later and said "Give me the address and a credit card".

I've used the stuff since, and every year till I think last year, I've bought cases of the stuff at either SnF or OSH.

Sorry to hear they're discontinuing the oil. Its good stuff.

You should change the oil every 3 months even if under the engine hour interval.

My buyer backed out. I have six cases of Exxon Elite 20W-50 for sale $110/ case FOB Harvey Airfield S43.
