Garmin 296 Question

Good Day All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to program a destination or waypoint as a radial/DME fix in a Garmin 296. For example, as in a hold scenario " cleared to the XXX VOR 12 DME fix via direct...". Or another example that i can think of is a published radial DME/mileage fix that would keep your aircraft track clear of military airspace. These fixes do not have published insections associated with them.

cheers

Yes you can and the answer is in the manual. Page 76, projecting a waypoint.
