My Garmin 196 is ten or more years old, with the original database. Esp considering the revamping of Seattle's class B airspace a few years ago, I've been wanting to update it. Finally got around to trying to do it, but unfortunately, being a computer idiot, I was unable to make it happen. After several attempts, I contacted Garmin & asked if there was someone locally who could do it for me, and they suggested Crown Aviation on Paine Field in Everett WA. I had Crown update it for me last week-- $50, same as what Garmin charges online. If anyone else has this problem, I'd suggest giving Rachel at Crown a call 425-355-4088.
