Gary Nordby A&P - Anyone know him?

The engine in my 182 was overhauled by a Gary Nordby in the Washington area (seattle i think). Anyone ever done any work with him and his overhaul shop? Still around?

It was overhauled in 2009.

Lake Stevens, WA helps. Have some questions on the engine he overhauled in my 182. Was hoping someone on here knew him and had great things to say! Nothing wrong with the engine, just curiosity to learn more about the overhauler.

I've been living & flying in the Puget Sound area for 17 years, and have never heard that name. There's one helluva lot of A&P's out there though, at least in this area (per the FAA database)--way more than seem to be active in GA. Maybe some of these people have their A&P's due to jobs with Boeing and/or airlines?

Is there some good documentation on the overhaul-- like a parts list showing what was new, what was used but yellowtagged, etc? Or is there just an "overhauled engine this date" entry in the engine logbook? I've had both in my airplane logs, better documentation doesn't necesarily mean a better engine but it usually means more value at selling time. Ditto for a name brand shop (Ponk, Mattituck, etc) vs your local mechanic or CRS.
Good luck selling your 182.

That is a GOOD thing.. =D> ..

Even if the guy has deceased or fallen off the face of the earth, you have a document showing what went into the motor and his signature to ice the cake... All you need is a few good oil analysis reports showing no trends toward making metal and any potential buyer should be happy.. [-o<
