GCBC Belly Pods
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

I was wondering if anybody knows of a Belly Pod out there for American Champion aircraft? Or how hard it would be to adapt a super cub pod to fit for (experimental) applications?

This does not answer your question, but to search for any type of STC's on a make/model go here:
http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guida ... enFrameSetEnter 7GCBC, 8GCBC, PA-18, etc. for registered STCs for make/model. Very handy when you get a new airplane.

Well as long as we are talking belly pods here, I have one for a Scout or Citabria, made by Sorensen. I'd take a grand for it. It was used as an AV gas aux tank to fly the Atlantic. It holds 80-90 gallons, but could be turned into a cargo unit fairly easily.

Did you buy it or make it? Is it a pod or a belly tank? How do you like it?

I bought it. It is a tank, but could easily convert to storage pod. To be honest, I haven't had tines or need to put it on the plane yet. Been to busy just flying around. Next summer I'm sueebitll get put on.

Good news!
Www.airglas.com is working on a pod.
They have an 8GCBC mock up and have been working on the mold as time permits. The more inquiries they receive the higher priority the project receives.
Give them a call and get on the waiting list. I'm looking forward to their purpose built pod.
Regards
DU

Last minute request. Is there anyone driving through Ohio to Texas for the holidays?? I have my belly tank sold to N300RE if I can get it delivered. It's light but bulky.
