I vividly recall my former mechanic racing the tide to complete field repairs on an aircraft beneath the high-tide line on a remote piece of Alaska shoreline. Wasn't my plane, but still made an impression.

I've never flown a 140 but i was impressed how quick he got the tail up. Way quicker than I can manage in the 170!

Glad it worked out. I find it super depressing when I see a plane wrecked on takeoff after a great emergency landing. Seems to happen a lot.
