I liked the energy management on the landing. The takeoff? Doable without a load, but why? A guy came with his super modified Maule to learn energy management. He did that on the first takeoff just to show me how little energy management he needed. I got out after the first landing.

You were fooled by the camera angle. No one does this in line operations. This was flight test or airshow demonstration more than likely. Light airplane with a 25 to 30 degree inital deck angle.

I agree about getting out of the Maule, I would have too.
