What type of 3D? I got into my wifes camera bag and found one green and a red lens filter and put one over each eye. The 3D was...well...sort of. Do I need a 3D computer too?

Here is what Greg says:

Oh, avatar glasses are polarized. This is old-school red/blue 3d. Tell
him not to get his hopes up tho it didnt do much for me. Becky said it
works for her 75% of the time.

Re: Go Det Your 3D Glasses!

Mongo, I'm so 2007 with my technology. I have no idea what GoPro is up to. I'm pretty interested in all this stuff, but I usually go ahead and spend the OBP budget on that duct tape and a box of new war helmets. I did see a Panasonic within the last year with two lenses and got to thinking, "I've got two Panasonics, I'll just do it myself..."
Those little cameras might be better b/c they are easier to mount close together. I think I have mine mounted just under 3 inches apart, so maybe my video only works on people with eyeballs about that far apart? But my GoPro is a wide lense, so it seems like the detail will be lost for most airplane footage--you can't zoom to see the good stuff, so unless you're buzzing everything 30 ft away I can't imagine a 3D GoPro will be worth much??? I hope I'm wrong cuz if everyone could make Avatar the world would be a better place.
--Also my next footage will be mounted on the camera so i suspect it will get even worse reviews (vibrations). This stuff was hand-held.
It's kind of just a novelty for me. Had to try it. It's probably going to be a fad--a way to get people to buy new TVs and stuff and then we'll all go back to good old fashioned 2D.

Yeah, let's fly sometime. Tuesdays are my new Saturday, so i usually only roll with retired people these days.
