Going to Montana Soon

No, no pygmy ponies and dental floss, but a 30hr drive from Michigan to Glaicer National Park.
13 hours flying time, but my wife is not excited about flying it, and I have no mountain flying experience, + the
way my wife packs I'd need a Cessna Caravan to move it all.
I'll be in St. Marys and Whitefish area camping from July 1st until the 10th. I've got to find Ahern Peak and Glaicier!
Anyone know of an instructor I could fly with to see the area and get a little moutain flying instruction?
I've got 1300hrs tt with 80+hrs in Cubs. I fly a 1973 172m 195 hp Frackinhawk with 8:50 mains and a Landis nose fork with a 7:00 up front on the training wheel.

After flying, spend some time in the Many Glacier area north of St. Marys. By far the mst impressive part of Glacier. Hike Appekuny falls for me while you are there!

If your route takes you through Billings you might consider getting together with Alan Kasemodel (goes by Kase). He's a controller at KBIL, knows everyone you'd want to know in the area including folks with great backcountry strips and a helicopter pilot with a great looking trophy wife. Oh, and he's a great stick and an instructor. Plus he can show you some seldom visited canyons not far from Billings.

PM me if you want his contact info.
