I purchased this strut mount earlier this year from Marc Webster who was discussing his mount on this site. It is of great quality and is light and portable. He asked me if I had any video of the mount in action, so I dug up this footage from this summer. I didn't do a lot of editing, so it's just a straightforward clip. Thanks Marc.
Notes:
In case anyone on this site wonders whether people three point or wheel land (I'm not sure if anyone discusses these things on the site) I choose to tail-wheel low (2 point), especially when directional control and visibility are of paramount importance as they are on narrow strips like this. There is tall brush on both sides of the plane that are not easily appreciated on this video, but lateral drift of more than a foot or two and your wings will be slashing brush. Therefore, I don't like bouncing along in a three-point attitude especially on 29" bush wheels when you can't see over the cowl. By keeping the tail up, I can see where I'm going and steer appropriately........And you thought this video was going to be about Marc's GoPro mount.
