I have a meeting near the main airport at Raleigh-Durham. Do any of you have suggestions for a grass strip near by to land and overnight a tail dragger? Thanks

John, there is a grass strip 11 miles north of RDU that I was planning to land at on my grass strip tour. One of my internet buddies (from the red, blue, and purple boards ) was planning to pick me up there. I believe that is where he did his flight training.

That strip is Lake Ridge Aero, and I was based out there for about 12 years until I moved out to Raleigh East. It's a great place, but it is a private strip. I'd suggest giving the owner, Randy Smith, a ring before landing out there. He's listed in Durham on Citation circle.
