39.45N/122.95W .....The airport identifier (1Q5) might make it even easier to find.

Rick,

Do you think it possible to drop off small tires ahead of time? Or would it better staging them at Ukiah or Lampson?

August 12th and August 21st are two days that I might be able to fly some tires up that way.

Re: Gravely Valley Work Crew Needed, Sep 12/13 2015

Hi Everyone,

The weekend of Sep 12 and 13 is on for sure. I had a great meeting and walk through with the District Ranger Frank Aebly last Wednesday. He is very positive and thankful for our help. We will be placing 70-Tires, 35-per side along the runway to separate the runway from the Road/Taxiway along each side. The FS will be providing a post hole auger and the RAF has made arrangements for a trencher. This should make things go pretty fast. Frank will have a trailer available for trash clean-up. The shooting range end is full of crap left behind by shooter, looks bad.

The RAF has also made arrangements for a drag to smooth out the runway. So please bring rakes and shovels to help smooth out things the drag doesn't get.

As for tires bring what you can and if anyone is driving in please bring what you can, I have about 50 so far. I will be talking with Frank on Monday and hope to work out specifics for camping a group.

Please Could EVERYONE that is planing on coming drop me an e-mail so I can get a count of who is flying in and who is driving in. it's important to try and look professional to the FS as this is our first work party with them in California.

I will be arriving on Friday to get things going. The more that can come in on Friday will make it easier for the crews on Saturday not having to pull off for landing airplanes.
