My cousin and I bought out the LLC we were flying for in 2009, $20K and a lease agreement for the 206 and PA12 that were already on the certificate. Flew the leased planes long enough to find and buy a 180 with all the bush mods that we've ever heard of. $50K without the airplane? Well, there's a sucker born every minute...

If you are new to the FSDO, buy this without the plane and you put on a new plane, the PMI and Ops inspector are going to be the office of NO for at least a year. You will spend that time learning to do it thier way.

Re: Great Deal on ANC craigs list .....

I just got done getting my single pilot 135 about 2 weeks ago. :D :D :D

I started in september.

This is my 2nd time around, the first was in 2003.

It took about 6 months back then.
Most FSDO's have at least a 2 year wait nowadays.
It is very hard to get into business quick.
Lots of hoops to jump through.
Luckily I saved most of my old certification paperwork to work from.

I actually did have some very good help from the Reno FSDO.

Before doing anything I would talk to the guys at the FSDO and see what their feelings are on getting going.
Also, getting the plane ready to go can be costly.

With the wait etc. this may be a way for someone to get going fairly quickly.
