I also checked the airmen database.
IF the registered owner was the pilot, then he's carrying commercial and instrument ratings and a fairly fresh second class medical(4/12). His AME might just get a bit of attention too...

I understand he did not apologize for hitting their runway and then blamed them for not moving it.

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.
Sounds like he was a bit distracted from people telling him to go away and got out of his normally seamless before landing checklist .Was his plane really Pink? ? Buhaaahahahaha!!!

Not just pink but hot pink. Come to think of it he had a big angel flight sticker on it. Wonder if that's why he has a 2nd class?

Nah, they got it wrong-- that was him, blowing the horn so them crazy bastards'd get off the damn runway!

AvidFlyer wrote:You guys are right accidents happen but the part that irritated me was that he didn't apologize or anything he yelled at me after I had to go and find him. He didn't even check on my truck and became very irritated when I requested his contact info.
Sorry about the age thing but you guys are taking it out of context. We all know guys at our airports that probably shouldn't still be flying just like the ones who shouldn't be driving.
I am not surprised he got upset with you. ...... "What truck!"

If he was/is doing Angel Flights, I sure hope Angel Flight catches wind of this guy and his continued recklessness!! I sure would hate for something worse to happen if he's conducting an Angel Flight with passengers!!
This man needs a good talking to! I'm hoping that has already happened.

......
That's kind of my concern with Young Eagles operations when the people organizing them put out a general call for volunteers. From what I've seen, there's very little checking-out of pilots. I worry about not only currency/skills/accident issues, but in the case of YE flights the possibility of pedophile types volunteering in order to get up close & personal with kids.

Agree 100% on that, too!
