Hats off to AKB, RAF

In the past week I received my new 1 3/4" Maule tail spring from Alaskan Bushwheel. I had opened the box to look at it right away but didn't have time to install until today. (Farming on hold again, more rain, hail and multiple tornados in the area last night.) I saw just this morning, in the box with the instructions and warranty was a Recreational Aviation Foundation pamphlet. What a good move for RAF to hook up with AKB to deliver their info and what a good move for AKB to align themselves with the RAF to preserve/expand the future of backcountry flying. Getting AKB on board with this, where they have to keep from offending any part of a customer base, lets you know that the RAF is not some extremist approach to accomplishing their goals. The two will benefit from the support of the other. Just needed to say Hats off to both.

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.

Definitely a smart move on both their parts. Speaking of good moves, I noticed RAF handouts on the counter at Caveman Ranch. Glad to airstrips promoting the RAF.

Enjoy your AK Bushwheel peanuts!
