I can add that I also have a Bose X and, in my experience, the Telex is quieter, has a slightly quieter yet clearer-sounding mic, is slightly heavier and definitely more bulky. The Bose is lighter, slimmer but not nearly as quiet as the Telex in the same airplanes (PA-28, C172S, C182T.) They have similar clamping pressures. The Telex can be adjusted to clamp more tightly, but it's still completely comfy. The Bose is also more sensitive to my sunglasses breaking the earcup seal, which really hurts the ANR performance. The Telex has thicker earcup cushions and thus doesn't suffer this problem.

I've traditionally had DC's for years -mainly because of their service. So, naturally I bought the X11 when it first came out. It was the worst headset I've ever owned - and I ended up buying a Bose.

I've been very happy with my Bose, it's been used in everything from a Cub to a Pitts, to a Bearcat and has never given any problems. I've known people that have sent their Bose in for repair - and they never charged them to fix the problem.

I tried the X11 in an Islander last summer, and was not impressed. I think my bulky Lightspeed 25XLs performed better. I have tried another DC with ANR, but I can't remember the model, and really liked it. It used a 9v battery. That was also in an Islander, and it seemed noticeably better than the X11.

Even though I have yet to try a Zulu in flight, I'm still sold.

I had 25XLs that I traded up to 30/3Gs. I just traded those up to Zulus.

They are really nice. The Bluetooth connection is very nice. I have Bose in my 182 and Zulus in my Super Cub. I really prefer the Zulus.

member of CPA????? don't know.....call and see if they accept the order...i'm pretty sure they..sKygeek...are interested in selling as many units as possible...at $125 unit savings, it would be worth a try
