Headset and COM

Need to find a headset for the wife. DC's are too big. Would the mid cost ANR lightspeed's fit a small ladies head ? Also need a handheld Com.
Do the BCPers have someone in particular to speak with at Chief?
Thanks

I recently bought a Vertex VXA 220 from SkyGeek. $179. Good power, durable case, small and light. Optional alkaline battery case.

Seems to work fine and voice comes through clear. Also has Wx.

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

My SPOT page

Looked at my Spruce catalog, several headset mfr's offer "youth" models for the small-headed amongst us.

My wife uses the Telex QFR Solo headset I bought when I started flying. They fit her small head very well. Don't tell her I said she has a small head. I have the Vertex Spirit 710 hand held. It works very well, is very small and light, but has way more features than I use. My father has the Icom A24 that I have played with a little. I would recommend that if you could get it cheaper than the Spirit.

I'm in no way trying to self promote here, but I may be able to help you out on the headset and handheld (and more - PLBs, SPOT, etc.).

As a way to offset the shortfield.com hosting and development costs ( although it's yet to offset anything :)) I setup a little retail website for folks like us, and as a result I have wholesale accounts with several outdoor and aviation suppliers. I give shortfield.com members a 10% discount and I'd happily do the same for BCP folks. The site has a small inventory listed, but if you want me to get something that isn't on the site, just shoot me an email and I'll see what I can do.

The site is:
skymountaingear.com
For 10% off, enter 'bcp' as the discount code during checkout.

Yes you are, not that there's anything wrong with that. :)
Anyone who wants to promote their business/service/wares is welcome to, as long as they particpate in the forum in a flying-related capacity in addition to, and in an amount greater to, posting about their promotion.

Well, I have to give you shit. Everyone appreciates the work you've done with the shortfield.com integration though, so you get some leeway. Glad to have you around.
