Heli/airplane tour of Hoover Dam--Any experiences/tips?

I am going to Las Vegas for a friends wedding next week, and was thinking of doing a air tour to kill some time--Anybody have any experiences, places to go or avoid? Thanks, Lance

My only tip would be to go real early in the morning...it takes a hell of an air conditioner to make any difference this time of year, plus by ten in the morning the desert is washed out in flat, uninteresting light.

Maverick Air Tours off of Las Vegas Blvd... newer and much nicer helicopters and yes they are airconditioned...

I agree about going either very early or late... the advantage to going late is the opportunity to see the vegas lights when you return, makes for a better tour...
