Hells Canyon Tips

I'm heading for Hells Canyon this weekend. Was going to head out today, but mother nature decided I should go in the morning. She seems to know best, I've found :+)

I've never flown around that area, let alone flown through the canyon. Looks to be pretty good weather, but I just wanted to see if there was some local knowledge I could get from one of you guys. Is there anyone able to give a few tips?

Thanks,

Flying is magic... till you hit the trees.

Hmmm...

I know people fly around there. Guess people don't like to talk about it much, just read about it and look at the pretty pictures.

Well, here is a pretty picture of my magic carpet at Pittsburg.

Had a great time. Weather was perrrrrfect!

Looks like a Kitfox. Which model, with what powerplant?
Nice photo BTW.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, the area and weather were both perfect. Can't believe no one else was flying in that area.

It's a Series 5 Kitfox with a 912S.
