Help to identify part #. 182 A voltage Regulator

Need help identifying part number for replacement voltage regulator. I have a 1958 182 A That has had a alternator upgrade. Here is a picture of the current Motorola voltage regulator. I have done extensive research online trying to get a part number and have been unsuccessful. Please help!

Re: Help to identify part #. 182 A voltage Regulator

Check in the logbook for which conversion has been installed if you haven’t already. There are several conversions over the years, that would be a good place to start. The A model I am working on for a friend has the Ford style electromotive conversion. It may be that one. Plane power offers a regulator that is designed to work with several different models, if your not a A&P find a experienced A&P to help you sort out the possibilities. The older aircraft sometimes drives us nuts trying to figure out what parts are installed. [-o<

Thanks for the input. I have looked in the logs and it lists the alternator install but no info on regulator.

I am sure there was an STC for the alternator install. The STC should specify the regulator. Er Ah I think

Re: Help to identify part #. 182 A voltage Regulator

We just replaced the regulator on our new to us Cessna 172 XP with a Plane Power unit... there are several installation wiring diagrams that cover just about every alternator installation from stock to STC modified system.. not hard to install and relatively inexpensive at $230.00... they have an internal jumper for configuring either 12 or 24 bolt system’s. We bought a 12V one and swapped the jumpers for 24 volt for the XP..

I put the plane power unit in my 1963 182f two years ago and it has worked fine with no problem.
