Help Wanted - Looking for Pilots in Kodiak Alaska

Island Air Service in Kodiak, Alaska is looking to fill 2 pilot positions for the upcoming season. This is a year-round position, however we generally hire in the spring to get newer pilots up to speed before things get too busy. The beginning position is in a Cherokee Six, flying to the 6 villages on the island and occasional trips to the Alaska Mainland. For pilots who want to stick around a while, there is opportunity for twin and turbine time in BN Islander and Cessna Caravan. For those who really fall in love with island and the lifestyle, there is opportunity to move into float flying in 185 and Beaver and some limited off-airport flying in a 180 and Supercub.

One of the unique opportunities this job presents right away is our training program. You will train on a one-on-one basis with a pilot who has been flying the island for over 40 years. This type of knowledge transfer is pretty unique and WILL make you a better pilot, no matter where you go from here.

Sounds like fun. Unfortunately I need about 400 more hours to qualify and I doubt i'll get there by spring. :(
