HERO Camera

Do I have to have a special SD card to run the HERO? Or will any old SD card work for HD? It seems the quality sucks when I load it to IMovie...

Re: HERO Camera

It works best with a Class 6 SD card (faster). If you are getting poor video check what setting your running 720p or above should be giving you outstanding video.

Re: HERO Camera

Is Imovie, anything like some of the 'pc' video editors. I have one editor, that the quality looks like crap, when you are 'editing', but you take it, and 'save' the edited video, or record it to a dvd, and the video quality improves. It's probably like this so that you have 'lots' of ...ram??? memory to do the editting, without bogging down the computer.

Re: HERO Camera

What exactly do you mean when you say "quality?"

Some machines lack the graphics horsepower to play high def video files at their native frame rate. I had this problem with the 1080p @30fps files from my camera, until I upgraded machines. Playback on my old machine was choppy, but my new machine plays it smooth.

Zane

I was the guy with the fur hat on the latest video on the BCP vimeo site. I use a Sony AX2000 camera for some of it and felt like I wasnt getting the best quality. I will have to check out what FPS I was shooting, 1080 was blurry. I am clearly doing something wrong... Maybe I should read the manual.
