Just got this email from UBCP:

"This notice is to inform pilots that the Hidden Splendor Landing Strip will be closed to all air traffic from (and including) Thursday, Sept. 8 to Monday, Sept. 12. Additionally, please avoid overflying the vicinity of the landing strip during this time.

The purpose for the closure is too allow a group access to the area. These folks will be camping on the runway and thus an extreme hazard would exist for aircraft. This event has been approved by the BLM and we have been asked by them to close the runway for the dates indicated.

We feel an obligation to share this area with responsible groups from time to time and hope this closure does not impact anyone's plans for this particular week end."

Now it is closed from Friday Sept 23 - Sunday 25th. Not sure if the dates have been changed or if it's a different closure. Contact UBCP.
