High Sierra Fly In highlights in my Kitfox

I apologize for the quality, most of the clips were from videos friends got of me flying on their cell phones but I still figured it was worth putting a little video together.

@ CopterKidTrent

This is a great video !!

Speaking just for myself...I love videos and they don't have to be Steven Spielberg or Stanley Kubrick productions.

A cool cell phone video is better than zero no video at all.

Thanks for posting.

oh yeah...+1 re the tunes ! =D>

Nice fairing/covering job on that gear also, a big drag reducer.

Thanks guys! I will try to keep making little videos like this because I know when I am not flying I love watching videos of others out doing fun stuff.

I was blown away by the drag reduction just from fairing the cabane V and the shocks. Those tubes had more drag than the hit from going from 26in tires up to 29in!

Re: High Sierra Fly In highlights in my Kitfox

Cool video.

The comment about the efficiency found by fairing and covering the gear makes me wonder why no experimenters have designed their main wing struts to be faired and covered when there are two per side like this Kitfox. Of course, the struts would need to be designed strong enough to be spars as well as struts, and the angle of incidence would have to be carefully considered. It worked on the old Bellanca Aircruisers! The flying W.

Re: High Sierra Fly In highlights in my Kitfox

With each lift strut already being faired, probably/maybe not much advantage in covering between them. It'd be a big hit on the sideways viz also.
Faired cabane vee here also, in addition to of course faired and covered shock struts and A frames. I got better things to do with my gas money then push air aside!

Awesome video...and music!!! :D

Been a big fan ever since you posted the first promo video for CopterKids on Vimeo. That made me buy a rig and this video makes me want to buy a Kitfox!

Say hey to Matt at Adrenaline if you see him. He crewed for me at Reno.

Are there details of your Kitfox listed anywhere? It seems a little... "healthier" than most.

Really great video, thanks for sharing!

Curious: Was the cub DQ'd for turning the wrong way? Or is that rule not embraced/enforced?
