To get the intercom/pilot audio I got a cable from Drift (since I use the Drift cameras) that plugs into the camera and goes inline with the headset plugs. Here is a link to the Drift version:
http://www.mypov360.com/buy/Aviation-Mi ... Cable.htmlI have another one that I got a while ago from Aircraft Spruce that does the same thing but has the more standard size mini-jack plug on the camera end. It plugs right into my Canon 5DmII and the sound is pretty nice.

It was a fun deal, and I think a positive view of flying in the backcountry. The idea is to do another episode in the fall, and have a running segment every other week or so of a few minutes of flying somewhere new/cool.
