The ranks are thin around here, and I am wondering how our members have found the site.

Zane, I have been on the Supercub site almost from the beginning, and saw something on there the other day about your site. I think you're site will grow in time as more people find out about it. The problem you have, as I see it, is Supercub.org covers it all concerning our little airplanes. Hang in there, the site looks great.

Covers it all....for Cubs. The Cub community seems to be the most active, but I'd like to see this place grow as a forum for enthusiasts of all bush aircraft....a place where the term "Spam Can" is met with warm familiarity, and there are no remarks about how a "Husky is no Super Cub." I just want to talk flying, and take the focus off the aircraft type.

There are aspects of supercub.org that cover flying life in general, but its initial draw is for Cub pilots and owners. I think there is a lot more to this end of the flying spectrum for us to enjoy and talk about. You will also never find a "members/benefactors only" restricted area around here. It's all free. Supercub.org has been the premiere site for bush flying topics, and many non-Cub guys have gravitated there for that reason. Hopefully they will soon gravitate here too. That said, thanks for joining, Tim. Now get posting.

I just came across it on google and I was one if the first of many of the BC sites and aren't just jam packed with adds. thank you for that.

Found this site while googling info on mountain flying courses a couple months ago.

I have to admit that I've seen a few different forums and didn't much care for them. Seemed to me for the most part full of the same old stuff about how my plane is best and all others suck, or people tearing each other down. Can't imagine why people want to participate in that.

That said, i have really enjoyed this site. In fact this is the only site i have ever posted on. Not a day goes by i don't learn something new or enjoy a good laugh!

I remember reading the post "are we a community", don't know exactly what started the controversy, but for the most part i find this site like sitting around the hanger sharing stories and information, which if not flying is what i like to do.

I think you have done a great job with this site, Thanks!

Blast from the past! This was a very early post (March 2005) when we were about 3 months old, and I was trying to figure out how to bring in more traffic.

I think the site is plenty big now, and nearly 4 years later it's great to look back at all the content you guys have contributed. Thanks to everyone for being a part of it.

After flying Idaho: American Falls, Cascade, Garden Valley, McCall, Graingeville, Sandpoint, and Cavenaugh Bay in August of '07 after I had seen the video Idaho Exposed and could not get into Johnson Creek and others, a flying friend told me about your site. I had purchsed Galen's Idaho book before the '07 Idaho trip and was a little upset that I could not fly the back country as much as I wanted because of TFR's.
This site and the comments of the flyers who knew something about the sites from the posts really made me want to come back in '08.
I wish Idaho wasn't so far away for myself and others who still have regular jobs and a limited time to get that far away.
All BS asside it sounds like there are a lot of pilots who, like myself, just love to fly no matter where they go.

I am sure there are other flying clubs etc. Eg; WVFC is advertising on BCP.

You may have already beat this approach to death but I thought I'd throw it out there for other inputs. The more links the more check outs.

This is one great site. I found it last spring while searching for information concerning backcounty flying. My son and I were planning a trip to Idaho backcountry. I learned so much and gained insite from those of you who do this kind of flying frequently. The advice gleaned here and even personal emails from your contributors helped make our 5,000 mile, 12 day trip to Idaho/Montana backcountry a flawless and joyful trip.

I am still learning from the posters of this site. Men and women who fly the bush for a living as well as for pleasure. Already I have tried a couple of techniques suggested by other Maule owner/pilots who post here. Without intending to sound arrogant.....I thought that within my 42 years and 30,000 flight hours.... I had it all figured out.

Well surprise.!! I am learning new stuff that works....from you guys. Thanks to you and everyone who posts useful information here.
