How do I add a vid. to Shortfield.com?

I would like to add a video to Shortfield.com (approach to half moon) but do not see the place to do this on the web site.

1) Login to Shortfield.com
2) Find the page for the airport you'd like to add a video for
3) Click the "Videos" tab under the airport control panel
4) Click the orange link "Upload video" that appears on the left of the airport control panel
5) Fill out the form, including the local file path from your hard drive (browse for it) and submit
6) Wait patiently until the page informs you that the video is fully uploaded.

Zane,
Not sure if I am missing something, but Half Moon Bar does not show up when I search the airport directory, although it does show up w/ an orange balloon on the Map page. I found the vid. tab on the map page http://www.shortfield.com/index.php?opt ... &Itemid=63

but I don't seem to find a way to upload.

Hope I am not missing something obvious.

Half Moon Bar was the first search result returned when I searched for "half moon" I clicked on the search result link and was taken to the airport detail page.

Are you sure you're logged in? If you're not, it will say "Login to upload a video" in grey in the spot where it normally has the "Upload video" link in orange.

Brent,
Have you landed there recently? I called last summer because I wanted to fly in for dinner and they said they didn't allow fly-ins because they had had trouble in the past with some almost accidents.

Dave,
I landed last weekend and no one was around. When looking at the strip from the air, I could not see the white X because it was in tall grass in the shade on the approach end. After landing, I walked the strip and noticed the X.

Looks like they still do not want people in there. I plan to respect this.
I called the lodge at Agnes as their strip is X'd out and they said to call before coming in.....

Paradise also had X's on both ends.
Looks like we will have to stick to the Gravel Bars.

Did you get this figured out, Brent? Remember that the SF Explorer, which is a widget meant for embedding into the forum, currently does not support uploading. You have to visit the airport's page on www.shortfield.com for that:

Zane: thanks for handling the SF tech support. I'll send you a check for your time! :D

Everyone: I've been meaning to improve the usability of SF.com for a while. Hopefully I'll have the time to improve the upload functionality (and a few other things) within the next month or two.

HighRoad: that is a great video! Thanks for uploading it! If you have time, could you also upload a PIREP describing the conditions and the fact that its closed?

Thanks,
I will get a Pirep up.

When I am logged in, I still did not get Half Moon to come up when I searched for it on shortfield.com.

Using the link that Zane posted, I went right in and loaded the video. Not sure what I was doing wrong.

Thanks for all of the help,
Brent
