My field elevation is 1490-1500'....depending where you are on the strip.

Strip is 1000' of grass and another 500' of mud. I just planted the mud part yesterday so hopefully the next couple of weeks we see some grass. The rain today should help. Power lines(marked) on one end and some 30' trees on the other. Coordinates are 39.36N and 78.08W if you wanna google earth it.

When I started landing my airstrip it was only 300 feet long, I have now got it to 400 feet. I am at 700 agl, it is probably only 55 feet wide at the landing end, one way, over trees and power lines and requires a steep approach and pretty good climb on departure. Don't climb to soon or you will be into the doug fir that overhangs the run way though. It is almost as exciting landing it today as the first time I did it, wind is almost always an issue. I usually land but if I can not I have a friend that lets me use his nice 1000 ft one 5 minutes away. I think the trees that the neighbor owns have gotten taller every year, I have asked to top them but he has not given his blessing

I don't have hanger rent anymore and I sure to like that!
