I just sold my Luscombe, but she was 31 years older than me. She turned 60 in January.

I don't think I've ever even flown an airplane younger than me.

Robert "Bub" Wright, aka Skylane, passed away in November of 2011. He was a beloved community member and will be missed.

I am 12 years older than my plane. I recently have flown a plane (Stearman) that was 20 years older than me.

If that Stearman could talk can you imagine the stories it would tell?

I often think the same thing about my 170.

I lay the hands on, close my eyes, and say "talk to me, girl."

But, nothing ever happens. I usually just notice a new flaw in the paint or something.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

I am 29 years younger than my plane.

Let's see if I remember how to land this thing.

14 years older than me. We both experience about the same need for maintenance and overhaul.

The K-A Champ is a '58 model; I'm a '54 model. She was fully restored two years ago, though. I can't say the same of me.

Dang! I missed celebrating the two-year anniversary; 06 July. Oh, well; I flew her on the 4th.

When I was born, the iron ore and bauxite that my Maule came from were still in the ground. In fact, I was probably adult-ish before anybody got around to digging the stuff up to make my plane.

If my 170 could talk, I wouldn't be able to show my face around the airport!

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!

I try not to think about chronological age. I only think about how young I feel inside.

I think I am approaching TBO. I have not found any place that will do a complete overhaul. If you know of a good place, let me know.
