How To Set It Up:
1. Fire up Google Chrome, and click the little wrench icon that's in the upper right corner. A menu flips down. Near the bottom, select "Settings."
2. By default, the Settings > Basics page appears. Find the section in the main right column under "Search." Click the button that says "Manage Search Engines." This will show all the search engines that Chrome has encountered during your browsing.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the list, and you'll see a row with 3 input fields, the first of which says "add a new search engine."
4. From left to right, enter these 3 values into each respective input field:
- Code: Select all
Backcountry Pilot
- Code: Select all
bcp
- Code: Select all

5. There is no Save button, you just click outside the input field. Your new search engine will automatically shoot to the top as they are sorted alphabetically.
How To Use It:
Google Chrome is nice in that you use the same input bar to search as you do to type in a destination web address. It auto-completes prevous URLs visited, and is generally great at anticipating what you want most of the time. It is the same with activating your new BCP search engine.
1. Click in the address bar/search bar.
2. Type "bcp"
3. Hit the Tab key. "Backcountry Pilot" is now highlighted as your search engine.
4. Enter your search terms and hit Enter.
The only downside is that certain forums require you to be logged in, like Hot Air, Off Topic, and Community. Some things are better kept semi-private.
