How to best read the forum with iPhone or Android

Thanks to once&futr_alaskaflyer for introducing us to Tapatalk, reading BCP on compatible mobile platforms like iPhone and Android is now a little cleaner and easier with this dedicated app for reading forums.

To use:

1. Install the Tapatalk app on your device. For the iPhone, there are two versions: Tapatalk RO (read only), which is free, and Tapatalk, which allows you to post replies, send private messages, and upload images, but costs $2.99.

2. Open the Tapatalk application.
3. Click the Network option in the lower menu.
4. Enter "backcountry pilot" into the search field.
5. When the search result appears, click the Backcountry Pilot row and it drops you into our forum.

Most features should be fairly intuitive.

Image upload via forum attachment is allowed if you are a member of the "Mobile" group in our forum, otherwise for read-only access, no special group is required.

I have gotten to the point where I like to surf on my Ipod touch more than my PC.

Droid info:

Tapatalk (beta) on the Android is free or 1.99 if you want to donate. The free version is not limited and works very well. The only thing I can't do is use the chat option.

Thanks for adding me to the uber elite "mobile" group Z.

Have you found a way to mark all posts as read?

I know they are due to release a new version very soon that will have more features, and fix some commonly reported annoyances like the "Sent from Tapatalk" signature that is automatically inserted in a post reply.

On the Droid, how to turn the "sent from tapatalk" signature off is under settings. Maybe the iphone has it under there too?

You're right. Sometimes the fact that the iPhone puts app-specific settings under global Settings for the device throws me off.
