How to do more accurate BCP searches for Earlier Threads

.
Oh my....those duplicate threads...often posted quite inadvertently ..

It is always embarrassing to do a search, find nothing, post on a topic, and only to discover soon thereafter that you have essentially duplicated a very similar earlier thread. I think we all have done thread searches on BCP, but maybe some folks are better than others.

Based on a recent experience, I can definitely use some help . The quotation by retired Army General Russel Honore comes to mind, namely
.
" Don't get stuck on Stupid"
I sure could use some tips on doing more accurate searches on this website to help avoid unintended thread duplication.

Incidentally, I searched this topic before posting it, and I so hope that this topic has not already been addressed. :D

How to do more accurate BCP searches for Earlier Threads

Well, you made it to the Website Help > How To and Tutorials subforum. Now go down 10 or 11 topics and find the one about using Google to search.

I realize the futility in searching for a thread about how to search better.

The Google way:

Local forum search: https://www.backcountrypilot.org/forum/search

Like most things I want to move this information out of the forum to here:

...but it takes work.
