1. Open your photo album where you've uploaded some photos.
2A. Click the little dark grey "link" icon below a single thumbnail --or--
2B. Go to the BBcode in the textarea at the bottom of your album thumbnails and select all/copy it...then paste all photos to a post.
3. Computer: Return to the forum post and paste (CTRL+V or CMD+V) or right mouse click > paste. On iPhone, short tap where you want the paste, then when the black text action menu appears, choose “Paste.”
Notes:
It does work fine on mobile, with a little extra work.
You still have the option to attach images to a single post, but it's not recommended because it's not efficient. Plus it won't automatically rotate images taken sideways with a smartphone.
In your photo gallery, if a photo appears incorrectly rotated, you can click the little green rotate icons below it in the photo view page. Note: this does change the image URL for some reason, so if you’ve already embedded it in a post, you’ll need to re-copy the URL from the album view to get the update URL.
Whether on a computer or mobile, I’ve found it pretty much required to utilize two browser tabs—one for the photo album and one for the forum post editor. Swap back and forth as your copy and paste the image URLs.
While I’d love to throw $100k at developing a specialized mobile app that makes this a little easier, the good old web browser works fine. Like a well maintained 172 with an ugly paint job and mismatched yokes.
Plus, it’s 2024. Everyone knows what a URL is
“Because the http protocol abhors a space, honey.”
